As Chair of the London Olympics organising committee, 2012 is going to be a huge year for Lord Sebastian Coe. But Coe is not one to shy away from challenges: “If anyone was going to beat me, they would die with blood on their shoes,” the former Olympic Gold medalist and politician reveals in this candid exchange of sporting anecdotes and views with the commentator and presenter Gary Newbon. Coe begins by explaining that attending a school in the Midlands with a name like Sebastian meant that he had to make an early choice – run or flight. Newbon reveals for the first time how “ITV did a dirty trick” on them both during the 1980 Moscow Olympics.
